About The New Inspirer

The 19th century was the Age of Industrialization. The 20th century marked the Age of Information. Will the 21st century become the Age of Inspiration?

More and more of those boring tasks are being (or already have been) automated, essentially freeing up our time. However this free time has been absorbed quickly by an explosion in available information that we now face every minute second of the day. I mean you name it and it’s out there. Try googling a subject which does not produce at least 100 hits. Try being not aware for a day what’s going on in the world.

With such easy access to global information, it becomes easy to feel overwhelmed or even pessimistic. Now we know much quicker than ever before (if we knew that at all in the past) what exactly is happening wherever in the world, who is killing who, and what is going wrong where.

At the same time we face luxury that has been unprecedented. The majority of the Western population lives in the wealth of not having to worry about how tomorrow’s food is going to be brought to the table, whether or not the night will be spent warm & dry and whether we’ll make it till tomorrow.

So what do we do under those circumstances? Indeed. Move another step up Maslow’s pyramid and look for inspiration. What’s the sense in this life we’re living? With so much going wrong, is there actually something going right? What do I want to do with my life? What makes me feel good? How can I help others? How can I experience joy? How can I help making this world a better place? How can I minimize the stress in my life? What’s out there that makes life (even) more fun?

Although The New Inspirer doesn’t claim to hold the answers to these questions, its intention is to filter through that never ending mass of information out there, in an effort to find inspiring and optimistic stories that might help out in discovering your own answers. It is The New Inspirer’s belief that this will help us grow as human beings on our journey towards self-actualization.

We hope you enjoy the website and have as much fun here as we’re having making it.

Wishing you all the best,

The New Inspirer Team
